The NSW Security Industry Registry is advising workers in the security industry they have until 7pm today to comply with new laws, or risk their licences being suspended from Monday.

Legislation introduced in September to raise standards in the industry gave a three-month deadline for guards to reapply under the revised classifications. That deadline was extended by a further fortnight to finalise the processing of late applications.
